In this series of my mixed media artist blog I will attempt to describe the inspiration behind a number of my abstract collage art pieces. While the overall theme behind my mixed media collage is highways and how they mirror moments we encounter in our lives each specific collage art piece has its own meaning that I tried to capture as a mixed media artist.

This first collage painting “Convergence” suggests, in obvious ways, that lines that travel into a central hub are congested. But there is a way to travel upon these roadways. In the central hub of the abstract collage are black spirals, showing a way to spin around in an orderly fashion.  This mixed media art piece attempts to express that while it may be confusing and time consuming to converge upon the round-about, it is also clear that there is an organized way to exist with others who come upon the hub.
