The Turbine Stacked Hybrid is an excellent interchange configuration for mountainous countrysides. The on and off ramps can be built using constantly changing heights in the natural topography of mountains.

But the trade off for ease in construction is the need for more land than many other interchange types.

The green orb in this painting is following an exit ramp which automatically turns into the acceleration/on ramp onto the other (second) highway. The ramps loop around more and so vehicle capacity is lower. These ramps are like blind turns in life. You can’t see what is coming and so must be ready to halt at the next red, stop light. This is why this painting is red, to get your attention in case you need to stop.
